Merab Antadze has been a Research Fellow at the Diplomatic Institute since 2020.
He has over 30 years of experience in international affairs while holding various diplomatic posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, amongst them holding the position of the Deputy Minister during 1998-2005.
In 2006-2007, he was appointed as the State Minister of Georgia for Conflict Resolution.
In 2007-2008, he became the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine.
In 2009-2013, he held the post of the Permanent Representative of Georgia to GUAM.
During 2014-2019, Merab Antadze became the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Moldova.
