Lecture on Global and Regional Security for students at St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia (SANGU)
On 18 October, Ambassador Nikoloz Rtveliashvili, Research Fellow at the Diplomatic Institute, delivered an insightful lecture on Global and Regional Security to students at St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia (SANGU).
The event commenced with a welcome address from Maya Manchkashvili, Head of the International Relations undergraduate program. Irine Dakhundaridze, Director of the Diplomatic Institute, also addressed the students, providing an overview of the institute’s mission and activities.
The lecture was following by a lively Q&A session, offering students the opportunity to engage with the topics discussed. The meeting concluded with remarks from Professor Irakli Brachuli, Rector of the University, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the study and practice of international relations and diplomacy.
The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between SANGU and the Levan Mikheladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. This MoU sets the foundation for enhanced collaboration between the two institutions in the field of international relations.
