A Workshop on Cultural Diplomacy
“How can the use of culture foster more effective diplomatic practice” – This was a guiding question of the workshop on Cultural Diplomacy, conducted on 4 July as part of the Junior Diplomats’ Program at the Diplomatic Institute. During the workshop, Ketevan Kandelaki, the Director of the Department of International Cultural and Humanitarian Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, extensively covered Georgia’s experience in promoting cultural diplomacy abroad. Participants also had the opportunity to engage with Ambassador Maia Kipshidze, who served as Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Norway from 2018 to 2022. The young diplomats benefited from her insights and experiences in cultural diplomacy.
