The Economic Dimension of Relations between the States of the South Caucasus and Russia – Mikheil Ukleba, Nukri Tavadze
Russia’s war of aggression perpetrated against Ukraine, and the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as Armenia and Turkey, fostered a new agenda in the Black Sea region, which has underscored the growing importance of economic relations between the South Caucasus states and their neighbours, including Russia, sharing a border with two of the said states, namely Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Meeting on the Key Aspects of Georgia’s Relations with Neighboring Countries
On 29 May the Junior Diplomats’ Program hosted a stimulating discussion featuring Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine, Giorgi Zakarashvili and Marika Laliashvili, Deputy Director of the Department of Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Meeting on the Challenges in China’s Foreign Policy and Georgia-China Relations
Participants of the Junior Diplomats’ Program met with Former Ambassador of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China, Archil Kalandia, Head of Division of South Asia, Australia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Davit Pipinashvili and Research Fellow at the Diplomatic Institute, Ambassador Mikheil Ukleba.
Training module on International Security
On 20-24 May a three-day training module on International Security was held at the Diplomatic Institute, facilitated by Tornike Parulava, Head of the Euro-Atlantic Integration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
