On 24 September, 2014, within the UN General Assembly, the the US President Barak Obama addressed the member states and underlined the readiness of the US to be engaged in the coalition format and confront Daesh through the joint efforts. Within two weeks, about 40 states supported the project. Through the active efforts of the US State Department, Department of Defense, military officials, and partner states, the Coalition soon took a structured form and the action plan was defined. To date, the Coalition unites 79 states, including Georgia.
