Meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Georgia, H.E. Mr. Hyon Du Kim

On March 13, Irine Dakhundaridze, Director of the Diplomatic Institute, met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Georgia, H.E. Mr. Hyon Du Kim. The meeting focused on exploring future cooperation opportunities, including the organization of joint seminars, lectures, and research-analytical projects.

The Director of the Diplomatic Institute presented Institute’s training programs and its research activities to the Ambassador. The parties also discussed enhancing cooperation between the Levan Mikheladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute and the National Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. This collaboration is based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2013, which facilitates the exchange of information on educational programs and activities, the exchange of experts and researchers and the participation of Georgian and Korean diplomats in training programs organized by both countries’ diplomatic institutions.

Both parties expressed their willingness to renew the Memorandum and further strengthen their cooperation. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Yongdae Nam, First Secretary and Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
