On December 17, Diplomatic Institute organized a book launch event at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presenting “Cold War – a Journey into today’s past” by Zurab Abashidze.
The attendees were welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, David Zalkaliani, and the Director of Diplomatic Institute, Irina Dakhundaridze. The new release was also presented by the Scientific Editor and a Tbilisi State University Professor, Revaz Gachechiladze, Project Manager at Palitra L Publishing, Nia Namgaladze, and Zurab Abashidze, the author himself.
“There is a lot of talk about when the Cold War really ended. Many think that the 45-year era came to an end with the fall of the Berlin Wall, others think that the collapse of the Soviet Union is finally concluded it. I think this stage history still continues, but it has altered its appearance and like a virus, a new strain has emerged” – said Zurab Abashidze.
