Workshop in Multilateral Diplomacy
On 12 and 13 October within the frames of Junior Diplomats’ Program a workshop in Multilateral Diplomacy was held. The workshop was facilitated by Shorena khachidze, the Head of the UN Division of the Department of International Organisations of the MFA and Ana Doborjginidze, the Head of the Division of Council of Europe of the Department.
The participants of the workshop gained a deep understanding of how international organisations work. Specifically, the facilitators shared their extensive experience and case studies reflecting on the decision making processes in the UN and CoE and discussed challenges and advantages of multilateral diplomacy.
During the workshop, Ambassador David Bakradze, Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN delivered a comprehensive talk highlighting the challenges and opportunities of serving in the UN, as well as the importance of multilateral diplomacy in advancing foreign policy priorities.
